Overberg, Stanford – Road rehabilitation works will be undertaken in Stanford on the following road sections:
• Queen Victoria Street: from Moore Street to JJ Swart Crescent
• JJ Swart Crescent: from Queen Victoria Street to Moore Street

The construction will be carried out in two phases:
PHASE 1 – Earthworks and layer works
The earthworks team will carry out the necessary excavation, preparation and layer works.
Phase 1 is scheduled to be completed by no later than 2 September 2026, weather permitting.
PHASE 2 – Resurfacing
Once the earthworks and layer works have been completed, the resurfacing/seal works will follow.
Phase 2 is scheduled to be completed by no later than 11 September 2026, weather permitting.
Access during construction
During Phase 1, every effort will be made to maintain access to all properties at all times. However, due to the nature of the construction activities, there may be periods during working hours when vehicle access is temporarily limited.
All properties will have access after working hours.
The contractors, Actophambili Roads, have confirmed that the rehabilitation works are expected to be completed before the Stanford in Bloom Festival begins, and we all look forward to seeing these roads improved in time for what promises to be a jam-packed programme of activities running from 12 to 27 September 2026.
The Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks all residents and property owners for their patience and cooperation while these important road rehabilitation works are underway.
